2015 Eastern Boats 248 Tournament

Based on Easterns able, rugged 248 and 270 hulls, the Tournament boats are all about fishingefficiently, effectively, safely, and above all, comfortably and happily. The 248 Tournament shares the hull, cabin, and pilothouse with the 248 Islander, while the 270 Tournament shares with the 270 Islander. Opposite the helm of the 248 is an l-shaped lounge. The aft portion of the lounge holds a tackle center and sink. Meanwhile, aft of the 270s helm chair sits a multi-drawer tackle center with storage in place of the Islanders galley. On both Tournament models, a 30-plus-gallon livewell with toerail replaces the aft bench seat. A transom door (optional on the 248, standard on the 270) provides access to fight fish around the Armstrong bracket and engines, in appropriate seas. On both models, a rocket launcher on the aft edge of the cabin top and four gunwale holders secure rods and reels. A pump-out fish box in the cockpit sole takes care of the catch. Family cruising or serious fishing, Easterns Tournament Series boats can handle the challenge.
